Dr Saylor says, "I have dedicated my practice to my mother. Mom was morbidly
obese(greater than 300#) and struggled with her weight all her life with little success. She suffered from many health
issues including digestive issues, adrenal issues, thyroid issues, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and cancer that
I believe were directly related to her diet, exercise (or lack of), and the obesity. She like most people had one system with
a problem that led to another and another. This created a lifetime of illness and eventually death. I committed myself to
return to school just months after her death to try and find answers to help people with their chronic health issues.
We have had a lot of success, but it is a battle that continues. I believe gut, adrenal, thyroid,
and weight and the associated problems like inflammation, free radical damage, stress, and toxins causing
imbalances in the body are the root cause for almost all of today’s chronic health problems and deaths. And although
pharmaceutical drugs can save lives and control symptoms they are usually not the answer for chronic problems or even making
you feel as good as you could. The medicine I practice, Functional and Chinese Medicine offers the best answers, alone or
combined with pharmaceuticals. Functional and Chinese Medicine provides a better quality of life with less morbidity
and greater longevity."
Dr. Saylor has been in private practice in Tampa Bay since 1994. He has
safely and effectively performed tens of thousands treatments.
Dr. Saylor is a graduate
of Walters State, with honors, the University of Tennessee, with honors, the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine,

Compulsive Disorders, with highest honors, He scored in the top percentile on the national boards.
Dr. James C. Saylor is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine trained in Functional and Traditional Chinese
Medicine, has a Ph.D. in Nutritional medicine and is a certified Addictionologist. He is the author of a weight loss manual, the
popular ebook "Leaky Gut" and the healthcare book “Saving John’s Life”.
Dr. Saylor believes that most health issues are the result of imbalances in the body. “These
issues are best prevented and treated not by pharmaceutical drugs but through therapeutic nutrition and functional health
Dr. Saylor is dedicated to change our disease care to wellness care and
to have a system that works and is affordable. Today the United States is #1 in the cost for healthcare
but #37 on the results from the care. Something is bad wrong with number like this.
He has the ability to explain things in an easy to understand common sense terms. He is available and listens to
the patient to provide individualized treatments whereas today most treatments are time driven, expensive pigeon hole dangerous
pharmaceutical drug protocol for everyone. America’s healthcare problems will never be solved with this approach. We
have yet to win a war against any health issue by using this approach. When have you ever known anyone with a chronic illness
to be cured by a drug? A cure would mean you take a drug, it corrects the problem and then are able to stop the drug.
